Hey Scott!

I have another question.

As you know I'm 14 and pretty new to lifting and I wanted to know if i should track my calories.

I personally don't want to track my calories when im young cause i don't want to show disrespect to my family, but i know what to eat and not to.

So is it okay if i don't track my calories until i make my own food?

Also, what do you think of teenagers cutting and bulking

My friend who is the same age as me started cutting and he went down like 10 kg (22 pounds).

From 68 kg 150 pounds down to 58 kg to 127 pounds.

Do you think teenagers like me should be cutting and bulking.

Cause i don't know if i should cut, not that i need to but when the time comes.

Because I'm still growing and i don't want to f up my growth

What do you think, what should i do?

Thanks!

@xxdennismcxx You don't HAVE to track your calories.. you just need to make sure you are getting ENOUGH food to grow. So if you notice you aren't gaining weight.. then maybe start tracking for a few days or just one week to get an idea of the portion sizes you need to be eating.

At 14, you can really get away with just eating HEAPS and not tracking haha. Teenagers don't need to cut and bulk. It can screw with your metabolism and every time you cut, that's an extended period of time where you're not maximizing your growth period (puberty). You only need to cut as a teenager if you're obese.. if you have a little extra fat that's no big deal and no reason to jump on a cut.

Just make sure you're getting enough food from good quality sources and pack on some muscle bro!
