Hi, I'm new here and was wondering if maybe the Macro Calculator on the website is broken? I've added all my details correctly but it seems to be giving me silly numbers like 21 grams of protein per day? Am I missing something here do I need to do more math's in order to get total numbers, even if I set it to a lean or hard muscle gain its giving 19 - 21 grams of protein, surely that cannot be right, I have a protein shake that give's 43 grams in one serving :D

Calculator screenshot

My current plan and Macro's I was using as I did the math's my self and just wanted to see if I got it all correct and compare with an actual calculator I rounded the numbers up and deducted around 300 calories as I want to lose body fat. The calculator is giving me double my current carb's as detailed below.

Calorie intake: 2375
Protein: 190
Carbs: 235
Fats: 75

Go easy on me I'm a rookie/noob to the forums and over all gaining muscle I've been training for a good while now 3 years almost 4 I've lost 5 stone gone from nearly 16 stone to 11 stone and now I'm back up to 13 stone with muscle gained I use to have a skinny frame no muscle and all my weight was just in my waist area my torso has evened out now and I've lost most of my gut and got wider arms and shoulders, just looking to shave off another inch so I tried to update my marco's using the calculator because I'm lazy and didn't want to do math's again :P and it just didn't seem right so thought I'd come to the experts.

Appreciate any and all help

@xciteuk I just used your details from your profile on the @mealplan page, and everything seems to work fine for me.. are you using it on your phone? Or if you're using it on a computer, which browser are you using? And do you still have this issue now?

I think the calculator was probably just missing a zero off the end of your protein and fats anyway.. so 210g protein and 60g fat. Carbs should be lower for sure if your goal is fat loss. I would go with something like these numbers to start with...

210g Protein (840 Calories)

235g Carbs (900 Calories)

70g Fat (630 Calories)

Total Calories = 2370

Pretty similar to what you already had with a few minor adjustments.

Thoughts?

Hi, Scott thanks for the reply, yes I'm still having the issue but it's no biggy I'm just being lazy and will do the math's my self like I did before following your video from a few years ago :D and yes I'm using a computer my web browser is chrome.

EDIT: I've just tried it on Microsoft Edge and on my Phone (using chrome on my phone) and I get the same results 21 grams of protein per day and 500+ grams of carbs a day no matter what profile I choose.
