Hey Hermanites!!!

It's been a long time since i've not been having my protein, as per my requirements. And the main reason behind that is due to the gagging reflex that i get when I drink my shake! I can barely drink it!

Can you please give me tips on how to be able to have my protein supplements without having to waste what I already have? I surely don't want to throw away my supplement!

Thanks a lot!

I don't know. Just drink it. And never buy from muscle pharm. They taste like shit. Way too sweet. Optimum is the best brand I've tasted so far.

I remember these days.... you should try and get at least 90% of you protien needs from your FOOD. I used to be a 2 or 3 shake a day guy. But honestly once you get your diet going its soo easy to get all your needs from food.. I have a shake only when I cannot get to my food. a 2lb tub lasts me FOREVER.

Here's my day for 190G of Protien... Keep Im mind I eat using Intermittant Fasting....

This is taken in between 1pm and 9pm

1 Can Tuna...30g

1cup Cottage Cheese.....30G

4OZ Chicken Breast.......23G

1 Can Tuna...................30g

4-5OZ Inside Round Beef...33g

1 cup scrambled egg whites...24G

= 170G

Remainging 20-30g comes from beans and other sources used as Side dishes throught the day... (Beans, PB, nuts Etc)

So easy and much better that a shake!!

It seems like a lot to chike down but it really isnt!!

FOODS BETTER!!

My advice, stay away from it. Yes the protein is good for you but what about all the other chemicals and sweetners and mixes that are in there... we dont really know exactly what it does to the body. Seeing as you get a gag reflex from drinking it your body has already figured it out, your mind just needs to follow. Dont throw away your supplement, sell it to someone for a reasonable price. When I first tried supplements I was 18, I also stopped using them at 18, I sold my supplements and do not regret it at all. All you really need to do is eat healthy and enough, that will take you where you want to go mate.

I agree with Robert here. I use Optimum Nutrition protein powders exclusively - and I am not a paid or endorsed athlete. I avoid MusclePharm as it is one of the "dirtiest" and least consistent supplements on the market. Consumer Reports did a study on all the major supplement providers a while back, and only Optimum Nutrition came out #1 for least amount of toxic heavy metals, closest amount of protein as stated on the label, and quality of ingredients. MusclePharm was one of the worst. Consumer Reports did extensive lab analysis of the ingredients and their quality and quantity.

The reason Optimum Nutrition is usually rated as one of if not the top large scale supplement manufacturers is they own their own plants and they follow FDA best manufacturing guidelines and U.S. Pharmacopeia manufacturing guidelines. These are required for pharmaceuticals but purely voluntary for supplement manufacturers as they are not regulated by the FDA. BSN and Optimum Nutrition are now owned by the same holding company out of Ireland so both lines produce quality products. Other manufacturers like MusclePharm have large manufacturing companies make their supplements along with everyone else's. Quality control, quality ingredients, and clean manufacturing processes can not be guaranteed as they don't own the factories.

Well, actually i picked that Combat Powder protein mix since it had a blend of different digesting protein types, and i actually needed those. I surely won't throw away the supplement, i will just figure out a way to include them in cake mixes or something, since I don't think someone would take in used protein!

I'll follow your advice. 'Eat healthy and enough, that will take you where you want to go'

Thanks William

You could use up the protein and then not buy more, it would not harm you right there and then I think ! But I really just want people to know that supplements can in fanct be dangerous and I dont want people to get hurt over such stupid things as powder. Of course its up to every individual if he/she wants to follow my advice or not, im just saying, some supplements sure are shady business and I would not take the risk.

Take care !
