Hello, so I've been having some issues with my left elbow, they were nothing too seriuos, before I started working out the only issue was I couldn't bent my arm, pick a heavy object and then straighten my arm, so I wasn't really bothering about it, but now that I'm hitting the gym, recently i've been hearing some cracking or poping noise while doing some workouts, for example shoulder workout at Smith's machine, and I started to get kind of worried. Is it possible that my joints are damaged? I have never broken my arm by the way. Also there is a sort off wierd feeling like my bones are moving away one from eachother when I left the barbell down, but it doesn't hurt and happened only once.

definitely make sure you're using proper form even if it's just for picking the weights up/lowering them. everyone forgets to let the dumbbells/bahhbells down with just as much care and caution as when you're working out.

Check your form and keep watching videos to correct the little things.

As far as your elbow, try to avoid exercises thhat cause this popping for now and get it checked out by a doctor (if possible)

Does the popping and cracking hurt @SimplyTooMIdc? If it doesn't, it might not be a big deal.. but the way you describe it makes me think it could be something you need to get checked by a doctor and/or a sports therapist.

If you can't bend your arm completely normally, there could be something wrong in there. Better to be safe than sorry.

No, the popping doesn't hurt, but people don't seem to realise, I can bend my arm but I can't do these actions in order

Bend my arm

Pick up heavy object with one arm (lets say bucket)

Straigten my arm

I need to pick up objects like this with already straight arm, and then there are no issues

If this is the case, I assume you cannot curl.

I would get that checked out for sure or research more about it (especially if you can't afford a doctor's visit).

Maybe post on some medical forums to get an opinion of what it might be.

Yeah it sounds like your elbow has something not quite right. Best to see a professional about that kind of thing.
