Overcome Gym Plateaus.

How am I supposed to gain more strength with my original program?

So I originally put out this question on Scott Herman's Facebook page and got redirected here.

Since three months ago, this has been my gym schedule: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/top-3-muscle-building-routines-max-muscle-gains.htm the one in the middle. "4 Day Split".

And it has been a really nice Gym Schedule, I used to only do the 5x5 SL strength program so this was a huge step up for me. And now, I've reached plateau in many of the excersises, in the 4 day splits schedule, and my question is, can I somehow adapt doing 5x5 instead of the original amount of reps and sets in order to gain strength? Thanks in advance.

If you've been following the exact same program for 3 months its not surprising you've hit plateaus in multiple exercises. Normally I switch out a routine every 4-6 weeks becasue thats when I start to plateau.  So it's definitely time for a new plan. I found the 5x5 was ok when I was a beginner getting my first gains. In my opinion I think you'd be better off using an entirely new routine and possibly implement the Cheat and recover method which i have found very useful.
