So, we all know, if you perform the exercise properly deadlifts shouldnt hurt your lower back, but mistakes happen.

What are your remedies for lower back pain?

Unfortunately during my deadlifts on tuesday my core loosened up and i put way too much weight on my lower back, the result, a lot of discomfort the next day and now the second day even more.

Are there any particular stretches or remedies you guys know to help treat the back, or is it simply a case of time+stretching+ibroprophen and miss a few days of lifting. (i.e. how I've normally dealt with it in times past)

I'd be interested in what you guys think.
