Hello to all,

I just started to folow the macro way of eating and I have a fuew questions about the foods I can eat together and the foods I cant.

( sorry in addvance for my bad English since I am not from US or England and its not my native language )

I watched Scott's video about macros and I have created mine.

They are:

Protein - 250g

Fats- 80g

Carbs-320g

The thing is I just recently found out that the certan combinations of foods can produce more fat if you eat them together so my plan of just entering what I eat in a app on my phone just fall apart.

I want to know what foods are not good for muscle gain if you eat them together and what combination is ok.

I learned that you can mix protein and fats or protein and carbs but you should not combine fats and carbs. But how??

Everything I eat has carbs and fats.

Can anyone give me some examples of how can I recodnise what goes with what??

Thank you all in advance!

Nenad,

There are no foods that when eaten together cause more fat. I don't know where you heard that but it is totally false. Bodyfat is produced when the total amount of calories you eat from all food sources exceeds how many calories your burn. What is more important is the quality and nutrient density of your food not what foods you eat together. All meals should consist of some healthy protein, fats, and carbs. Junk food/fast food, processed foods, and foods of convienence are low in nutritional density, high in calories, and generally not optimal for building a lean physique. You want to buy foods that are natural, unprocessed, and nutritionally dense. These types of foods are foods you typically have to cook yourself.

When you plan your macros, choose foods that are natural and unprocessed and don't worry about what foods you eat together.
