Ive been off preworkouts for a while now, and am thinking about getting back on them soon. I hear of people making their own at home, and I was wondering if anyone here has done this, and if it worked as well as store bought. I know it's cheaper to make your own, but is it as effective?

Hi,

I always tend to do my own combinations, regarding to my needs (pre-/mid-/post-workout). Usually it is also cheaper as you said.

Effectivness depends on your knowledge about supplements, their effect, knowing your body and your reactions to them, your workout type and your goals.

If you are confident in what you are doing, do it yourself. If not, rather buy in store and try several of them to find which suits you best.

How did you previously handle pre-workouts? Did you get a severe crash afterwards? Which pre-workouts did you take?

I've taken NO Xplode, AdreNOlyn Cuts, and Super Pump, all of which did give me energy and great pumps, but a little pricey. I just want the most for my dollar.

I usually have green tea and coconut oil on my rice with lunch since lunch is my last meal prior to working out.

You know another good idea would be a toast with peanut butter and slices of banana in it. It has a lot of carbs for the gym, and some protein too.
