Hey Nation!
So I just got a new day job and I won't have to work graveyards anymore! I'm so excited because I have been doing graves for about 5-6 years now.
Well my question is for anyone that has taken saratonin pills to help with trying to get your sleep patern back on track. Right now I'm trying to force myself to stay awake all day so I can sleep all night but it isn't working out too well (I'm posting this at 3am my time when I sould be asleep).
So yeah, I was suggested to take some of these pills to put me to sleep but I've never tried them before and was wondering if anyone can suggest them to me. I'm very wary of taking any suppliments or meds that I don't fully understand so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Joey,
Melatonin is a natural substance secreted in the brain to induce sleep. It is naturally activated and most potent when you are in total darkness and not distracted by the light of a TV, night-light, or other sources of light. It is OK to use the supplement for a certain period of time but not advisable to use consistently as you will build up a tolerance and you will affect your own natural melatonin production.
Best way to "reset" your body clock now that you have a day job is the same as recovering from jetlag and different time zones. You need to set a time to go to bed each night - say 11PM. At 11PM whether you are tired or not, take the melatonin and make your bedroom as dark as possible and try to sleep. Resist all urges to get up, eat, etc. Set a time in the morning you want to wake up and force yourself to get up at that time. After 2-4 weeks, your body clock should be reset.

Thanks for the tips man! I was hoping you would be the one to see this post lol. I'm definitely gonna do this schedule and I'll keep you updated on my results. So far I've been doing good with staying up during the day but I have a huge urge to take a nap around noon. That's probably because I hit the gym pretty hard at 6am so I don't think an hour nap will relaly hurt all that bad.
