Hi all,

Was buying my whey the other day when I came across a new product I haven't had any experience with and just wanted to get anyones opinions on it, from what I can tell there is a few brands US side that do something similar but cant find much info

www.blackbeltprotein.com.au/product/protein-2-0/

From what I've read its apparantly built from ground using a blend of BCAA's but could this truly be a whey replacement or would it be better used as say a BCAA supplement before or at the gym.

I ask as I don't mind a cheeky soft drink now and again but if I can get away with something like this with some soda water when I need to bump up my protein macros here and there that would be pretty sick.

Anyway any input would be appreciated

I've never heard of this either, definitely a different concept to what you normally see. The fact it has 27g of protein is great, but it does seem to be more of a BCAA focused supplement than anything though.

I think you could probably try it, nothing about it screams DON'T BUY.. I think it is meant to be more of an intra-workout supplement.. it says you can take it 2-3 times a day which I'm not sure I would suggest though.. that's 81g of protein if you had it 3 times, and you don't want to rely too heavily on supplements to fill your macros. It would be interesting if it actually was tested and proven to have 27g of protein.

At the end of the day, it's up to you whether you try it or not.. personally I wouldn't use it as a straight substitute for whey, unless you were trying to avoid lactose.
