Hey Scott, how many sets and volume can my biceps and triceps take? For instance, if I were to do as many chin ups as I could today, and tomorrow work on my bicep curls and tricep extentions, would that be wise without over doing it? I believe I watched a video of yours which talked about how much intense work our biceps can take without destroying our gains. And I am trying to find it so I can get reeducated on that.

I think I have talked about it in a video before, yeah.. I have definitely mentioned it here in other @forum posts as well. The biceps recover probably second best to the abs.. probably at the same rate as calves. So they can take some serious punishment too. If your biceps are literally sore from the chin-ups though.. it might not be wise to train them the next day.

But keep in mind biceps are a secondary mover for chin-ups.. so they should be OK to be trained directly the day after!

The better strategy is to train one specific muscle group with wild abandon, then switch gears and go all-out on the other. Keep In Mind: you don't necessarily have totrain both biceps and triceps on the same day. But if you do, do all tricepsexercises before you start biceps.
