Hey Scott, I'm 14 y/s old and I've been doing parallel squats for a while/powerlifting squats.

While i was going up in weight every workout i started noticing my form got a little bad  at the end of my sets and eventually i started going after size instead of strength, so i decided to start using ATG high bar squats since now i care about aesthetics more than strength.

Had to lower the weight from 83kg to like 67kgs in order to hit ATG 5x5 perfectly, just wondering if it is okay that I lowered the weight and will it affect my gains.

Thanks

That's totally OK Dennis. Did you see my video yesterday about the 3 Golden Rules for squats? When I started ATG squatting I had to recude the weight I was lifting a lot too. But it won't mean less gains. If anything going ATG will bring you more gains with more muscle activation through a greater ROM. And now you can work on building your strength back up!
