Hey guys,

So im doing the cheat and recover program with some HIIT training to lose weight after developing the 'dad body' after having our first child.

One thing I really struggle with is how hungry I get between the main meals. Just chasing ideas on what are some good snacks to help get through to the next meal.

Cheers.

Nuts are always an easy snack option, you can almost take them anywhere. Then you have things like rice cakes, rice crackers, protein bars if you have them, fruit, maybe a can of tuna. I actually use bagels and peanut butter as a snack, although that is more of a bulking snack with high carbs and high fat. I like to snack on Greek yoghurt too or even just some leafy greens.

Thanks for the reply Scott. With the protein bars, is there anything I should be looking for in particular. Like I know some bars are really high in sugar. Is this a thing to avoid?

Yeah sugar is a main factor to look out for. Aside from that, it's about finding a bar that gives you a good amount of protein that you need, and it it's JUST protein you are looking for, then you want a bar that has minimal carbs too.. most protein bars will tend to have reasonable fat levels. I actually have an entire video going over what the best ones (in my opinion) are! https://muscularstrength.com/exclusive/nutrition-supplements/Choose-The-Right-Protein-Bar
