Looking for some tips and advise. I carry most of my fat around my waste like most guys. I wouldn't consider myself fat, just that little inner tube around the waste. I'm 5'10", I hover around 190 lbs and I'm 32 years old. I work hard almost 2 hours a day at the gym and I eat right. Is there something I'm missing? Is there something I should tweek? I am in week 9 of Scott's 5 day bodybuilding split program. My daily intake goes like this. My calorie intake is between 2200 and 2300 per day. That includes 200 grams of carbs, 63 grams of fat, 228 grams of protein and 91 grams of sugar. I generally come really close to those numbers. I don't eat junk food at all. My sugars and carbs come from fruit and whole grains. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

@jslocum have you tried reducing carbs to 100g-150g daily? Maybe 150g daily for a while.. and then if you need to, go down to more like 100g-120g on your off days. That might help with some stubborn areas of fat!

Are you doing and cardio too?

I'll try cutting the carbs and see if that helps. I do 2-3 miles a day on the eliptical. I go hard for 2 minutes, light for 30 seconds, hard for 2 minutes, light for 30 seconds, etc. Try to bounce my heart rate around

That's pretty good. You could also try more intensity to switch things up.. like hard for 30 seconds, light for 30-60 seconds and repeat.

As long as you keep protein high and training intense you can maitain most of your muscle mass! Some strength training while cutting can help too.

Maybe go real low on your carbs on your rest days but yeah cut your carbs, just make sure you get plenty in around your workout time. It's tough sometimes to break through barriers, just be patient and keep grinding, the results will come.
