Hey Scott,

Love your youtube videos, thought about trying your website this month and I love it. I wanted to ask about what I should do about my lower chest, I have been focused on burning fat for a while and it has been going great, I've seen my abs start to come in and have seen a lot improvement in general but my lower chest still sags a bit, so I wanted to know if this is an issue where I just need to continue cutting, or if it's a lack of muscle in my lower chest since I've always focused more on flat bench dumbbell press and incline dumbbell press but rarely on the decline dumbbell press.

@nakul18 Glad you decided to join and try the site man! Congrats on your fat loss so far!!

If your lower chest is still a bit fatty, it could just be a body fat percentage issue, and that might just be an area where you tend to store a bit more fat. Do you know what your overall BF% is? Training the area will build up the muscle if that's lagging.. I'll link you to a video below for targeting the lower chest.

Also, have you seen this other video?

Thank you, Scott,

I tried doing the skin fold test to measure body fat and I'm around the 14-15% range in body fat so I guess that would mean I still need to cut down a some more as my goal is to reach around the 10-11% mark but in your experience is there a certain percentage to reach where an issue like this is usually gone, like should I aim even lower around the 8-9% range. Again thank you for the advice, and appreciate linking the videos, I hadn't seen them yet so they helped answer most of my questions

@nakul18 You shouldn't have to go below 10% bf in order for it to disappear. If you got to 10-12% or even at 13%, I would say it shouldn't be major.. of course it all depends on where you body stores fat the most, like I said before.

Do you think you could post a photo?

The Muscles Trained. The primary chest muscle is the pectoralis major. Although it's just one muscle that fans over your chest, it does have a lower and upper region to develop. If you're looking to build shape in the lower, or sternal region, the decline dumbbell press is your move.

While the pecs worked the most with dumbbells in the study, that variation didn't engage the triceps as much.the men's triceps worked the hardest when theybarbell pressed and Smith-machine. And the Smith machine worked their anterior delts more than the barbell or dumbbell chest press did

The flat bench press is a tremendous exercise for building tons of pressingstrength, but it isn't the best chest builder. Exercises like dumbbell chest presses, suspension push-ups, or even machine based chest presses hit thechest so much better than the bench press.(indianworkouts)
