I have been back about a year and a half and been slowly working on increasing my deadlift strength. Been doing sets of 6 to 8 at around 265 or so. 

So tonight after work, more like early tomorrow morning maybe 3AM I will feel out 315 for a single and go from there. 

My best ever in my young days was 485 . I think at 47 i can still beat that. I'm just more patient and wiser now.

Damn 3am is so early! Making my 6am workouts look like a sleep in! haha. I think if you are repping 265 for 6-8 reps, you'll hit 315lbs no problem. Then it will only be a matter of time until you get back to that 485lb max you had previously.. and then you'll be lifting 500lbs plus right?! 😁 Good luck man, you got this!

2:20 AM just about to take off my work boots and head to the Gym.

 

My work hours change daily so I am in the gym all different hours of the day. If I don't go o will probably right after work it will probably be 2 days before I can make it again.

 

Railroad life ain't easy but it ain't so bad either.

I will probably have the gym to myself.

 

I will report back on how the deads went

Shift work must be tough for sure, but good stuff for still getting the workouts done no matter what hour it is. And congrats on the 315lb deadlift! That scarred shin just means your form was probably good at least haha 🏋

I get the shin rub on occasion. It was real minor. I’m staying patient I wanted to add more to the bar but I don’t need to go to fast. Let’s shoot for mid to high 300s in June

If you want to try and prevent the shin scraping you can always invest in some long deadlift socks too.. I went to Spencers and got a bunch of Dragon Ball Z ones 😁 

 

I'm sure you will be able to get the deadlift around mid to high 300s in June! Easy peasy! You are doing a great job @Herculesinwyo!

You can wear whatever you like man! Compression pants are a great option too. These are only if you want to prevent the skin tearing anyway, you don't HAVE to get something to prevent it.

 

I do like the looks of those socks though!! 😁
