In my opinion, you can go either route. You either repeat the entire program (if you feel it's still appropriate) or move onto the next. Just make sure not to program hop too much. I'd also advise keeping the systems rather similar (aka modifying exercises instead of changing the entire template completely). But to go back to your initial question, you should be good to go by alternating every 6 weeks with two similar programs. Hope this helps.
