Has anyone ever tried the approach of "protein pulsing?" To me this idea makes perfect sense! I'm going to start this as soon as I can. For anyone new to this concept here is a brief decription:

"Protein pulsing is a science-based dosing strategy for making the body hyper-responsive to high-protein utilization and producing the maximum anabolic effect. The ideal time to ‘protein pulse’ is as soon as you wake up! The body is pretty much empty and the amino acid levels in your blood will be relatively low, therefore it is primed to soak up a fast digesting protein."

Daniel,

This is an interesting term.  This concept once again proves the importance of breakfast over all meals.  I have been doing this for years without knowing it is called something specific :-)   I get 60g or more for breakfast eating whole eggs and egg whites, plus a egg/whey protein shake with skim milk.  This makes perfect sense for even though I am taking in 35g of casein protein with water before I go to bed, my body is still empty and hungry when I wake up.

On a slight tangent, I have found drinking the casein protein before I go to bed helps me sleep better especially on training days.  Without it, I would wake up at like 4-5AM starving.  Now I can sleep thru till 8 - 9am and be ready for breakfast :-)
