So I bought BCAA's for the first time as I never thought they were exactly a priority but since i started working I thought my busy schedule would need aminos to recover more efficiently.

 

I wanted to ask what do you guys think the optimal amount of bcaa's is? Would 20 grams be optimal? let's say 2 times a day, 10 grams per serving? 

Also when do you guys take BCAA's? During, before or after workouts? I heard you can take it any time but i've seen that a lot of people take it during their workout.

Taking about 15-20g daily is a general recommendation. If you're working out, going to somewhere between 20g-30g isn't a bad idea. Maybe 3 servings of 10g each?

 

I do take mine any time of the day really. Normally in the morning, then I sip on them during a workout, and sometimes I will have them later in the day if I feel like something sweet, but don't want to consume calories.

 

If you were splitting it up into two servings, I would go with during your workout, and then either morning or post-workout - it's up to you. Or just go with 3 times. Morning, during your workout and post-workout.

I just get my BCAAs from ny whey, 2 drinks a day about 13 grams in total, A bit low, But works just fine for me

Did you ever trying taking them seperately and did you notice a difference? :)
