Hello beautiful people !
So I'm a freediver and I want to get to the next level, which means I need to get my body pushed beyong its current limits.
A typical freedive will involve repetitive low intensity movement in a low oxygen and high CO2 environnement (finning or pulling on a rope, down and then up).
Usually, the lactic burn will start to show up at the end of the dive, making the movement slightly more difficult to control and to perform.
Because I don't have a lot of time (actually I don't have any), I would like to use my Full Body Calisthenics training and turning it into a HIIT training where I would perform the exercices on breath-hold with little rest, thus lowering my O2 and boosting my CO2.
This way I would have a routine that would :
- train all my muscles
- act as cardio
- train my muscles resistance and acceptance to low O2, high CO2 and high lactic environnement
I believe if I can do that I would become so much more confortable in my dives, allowing me to relax more and enjoy the dives more and thus allowing me to dive deeper ! :P
I created this topic to document my research and progress on the matters, and also to get myself accountable to Scott, which helps me so much all those years, and to whom I wouldn't suffer to not keep my words.
