Hi everybody! I'm new to the site as a platinum member and I'm ready to shake up my training.

Just a little bit about me. I'm 37 and from CT. I used to have high cholesterol and was a 190 lb 26-28% body fat until fall of 2016. I used some st home programs for about a year, first working on slimming down and increasing my strength and endurance. As of this month I'm 170 with 14% BF.

Last week I tried Scott's interval home workouts and enjoyed them. The Lower body 1 still has my quads sore - and I did that 3 days ago. That tells me that I hadn't been squatting all that well for some time.

I'm ready to commit to a muscle building program and have a baseline set of macros that I am staying consistent with. I just need to keep myself away from the damn coffee cakes they put in the faculty lounge at my school  (I'm a HS math and engineering teacher).

Further, I work out at home and have a good library of equipment, including a pull up bar, bowflex Selecttech 552 dumbbells, stability ball, medicine balls, resistance bands, and a jump mat.

Would it be fair to assess that Scott's push pull legs program is doable at home by using dumbbells for everything?

Also, even though I have trained for a year I would still consider myself beginner-intermediate. I'm still just enjoying all the content on Scott's channel (I'm subscriber 1.67M I think) and on this site. Are there some "must read" materials for me?

Thanks everyone!

Hi!

I was able to follow PPL (at least first month) at home. I have a bench, bar, and dumbbells.
I think you should go for it!

Watch videos about "Lean Bulking", because a diet is the most important if you want to build muscles. Also, watch a video on how to create a meal plan.
One more - read/watch about the full range of motion!

Oh man this is an old post! Haha sorry I missed this one! But glad you decided to go with the PPL program. Besides, after watching your last video, you must have access to a gym now right? Must almost be finished the program too!
