Hi all

I was just hoping that someone had a good recipe to make your own protein supplement.

I've just moved countries and brought a six-month supply of protein powder. Protein powder is REALLY expensive (up to $150/kg) and natural sources of protein, especially beef, is also pretty expensive.

I'd much rather eat natural proteins than drink it, but there's only so much food I can eat in a day! Any tips?

Cheers

Im not sure what country youre in, however, if you go on dpsnutrition.net or bodybuilding.com, you can find some protein for pretty cheap. I usually pay about $60-70 for 10lbs of protein powder

Phil,

You can't do any better than eggs. They are the Gold Standard of protein, affordable, and easy to consume in many ways. S. Korea has plenty available :-)

Thanks John

Yeah, there are eggs everywhere here. They're cheap and seem to be always available. I think that I'll have to up my egg intake beyond the three that I already have for breakfast or with lunch (if I'm doing an IF).

Cheers!

Hi all

After continued searching through the streets of Seoul, I was about to give up after I looked at another GNC selling ginseng and ginko biloba and goat placentas (the last one was a joke) as fitness supplements, when someone put me on to http://kr.iherb.com/.

I had a look and it was as if the clouds had parted and choirs sang and harps did their thing. The prices were in Korean won and they deliver to Korea for $5! It looks as though it will be cheaper than how I was buying protein powder and BCAAs through an online store in Australia.

As a newly-arrived person in a new country, it's important to take the time to celebrate these little discoveries as they can really brighten a day. It's also nice to know that I don't have to eat a carton of eggs a day to keep up the required protein for my macros!

Cheers
