So as many others I am spending cash on supplements on monthly. Mostly protein powder since it´s a easy form to get nutritions in the mornings and nights and when in a hurry and can´t eat right after a training session.

I consume about 2-3 shakes per day . On top of that I have tried PWO for a while aswell as Creatine and lately Citruline Malate and Agamatine.

At the moment I am waiting for my latest supply to be deliverd this time I was planning to make my own PWO including the following:

BCAA 1 scoop 5gr or so

Citruline Malate 5-10gr

Agamatine 5-10gr

Creatine Monohydrate 5 gr

Beta-Alanin (i like that tingle) 2gr max.

I know its wildy debated on however supplements work or not. BCAA might be overkill taken my Protein shake consumption but then again I might aswell try it out for a month and see if I see any difference in endurance or strength increase.

Citruline malate and agamatine i feel like I get a better pump while consuming have been taking those two for about 2 months now and it feels like it increases my vasculartiy to such a height that almost every vein in my chest are up to my neck and shoulders comes out in a way that it didn´t before using those. This might ofc just be vanity reasons but somewhere I suppose it might do some good aswell. Think I have read somewhere that one of those was supposed to improve your sleep and I actually think my sleep is deeper and I feel more rested when waking.

Just whey and Creatine. But I take a lot less whey now because I'm too lazy to take it to the gym. Now I only take whey when I haven't had enough protein that day.

i don't take preworkout because I don't have money for that. Drinking coffee in the morning gives me enough energy, even if my workout is in the afternoon.

I see ! Perhaps I'm overdoing it . But it's all trial and error at start. I assume if I had proper consulting when starting I would have made better progress and more aware on what to do and not to do.

All the moment I'm just taking a scoop of whey protein powder and 300mg of magnesium daily. I'll start back up on creatine soon... and occassionally I'll take 200mg caffeine if I'm low on energy before a workout, which is pretty rare ;)

I take a multi vitamin, 100% whey protein 1-2 times a day, and 5g of creatine monohydrate. Keeping it simple!

whey and creatine normally cut it enough. and the generic multivitamin pill and fishoil pills. <-- those are the things that work. Wehy can be substituted by food and food is always prefered. So whey only to full in the protein gaps you couldn't get from whole foods.

in my case i also have begun a few month ago to take BCAA's but that is for recovery from the immense volume i sometimes power through in a week. It's not necessarily needed especially not for no high volume and for a beginer for defenitally not needed. At least imho.

Making your own pre-workout with those ingredients should be fine. Is it cheaper to make you own with those rather than buy a 'pre-made' product?

Also, have you seen this?

Yea Joe it's a lot cheaper making your own. This months order was 250gr citruline 250gr agamantine 200gr beta alanin 1kg of creatine 1 kg of casein 500 gram bcaa and a Gasp beanie (getting cold in Sweden now)

250 grams of pwo costs about 300 skr here about 35dollar or so and is 25 servings. I get twice the amount of servings making it myself at least for same price. And best of all I get to choose what I want in it and how much of each.

That video I had not seen before now. Intresting stuff. Seems like I fall under the category of mid to high roller then not that it matters really. I like trying out diffrent supplements to see what happens. Used EAA for a while when I was on a 1900 caloric diet for a while and also tried 5-way protein. But the price was a bit heavy for that protein think I paid about 35-40 dollars per kg instead of 18 dollars for whey protein. I did however order a all night protein this month pure casein to try out.

Ingredients in that one per serving is :

30g protein

3,6g carbs

0,8 g fat

Glycine (what now that is) 1800mg

L-theanine 240mg

Magnesium 375mg (100%rdi)

Zinc 10mg (100%rdi)

Pantothenic acid 12mg (100%)

Is 3 grams of Beta-alaning to much ? The brand I bought states 3 grams daily intake I assume that is only training days. So I threw in 3 gram of beta along with 6 grams of citruline and agamatine and got tingle/itch 2k from it. Not that it any way ruined my workout but perhaps it was a bit over the top..

So many American brands that isn't available over here. Therefor I support the Swedish ones which has good taste for a reasonable price. At the moment all most all my supplements comes from Self omninutrtion . They are service minded . I asked for a taste sample and the ceo of the company sent 1 kg and a shaker to me for free. I always buy big packs of 5 kg it lasts about two months.

3g is not much at all. If the label states 3g, it should be fine. Just monitor your response to it.
