Training for me is a very positive aspect of life that i simply have to have. It is the part of my day that i can truly call «MY TIME» ! Because i gain a ton of energy and positive thoughts it is deffenently something that keeps my mood and spirit up for the entire day. Now that winter is here i gain just a small extra boost to train, since the christmas spirit is kicking in I am sure most of us have some extra energy to use. Moreover setting a goal and reaching it is THE MOST SATISFYING feeling that exsists ! When I sat my goal of gaining 10 pounds of pure muscle in 1 year I was 100% determined to do it. Well at the 1st of november 2013 1 year has passed and i have reached 15 pounds ! Intense focus, listening to my body and consitency paid of more than I ever would have thought. Some people ask me: What keeps you motivated ? I say: I don't use motivation as my willpower to go on, I love to train and i have understood why it takes time to build muscle. Therefore I know what it takes to get there and motivation ain't a part of it. CONSISTENCY IS !

Feel free to post what training means to you, i will be more than happy to read it :)

Nicely said William! I wish I had the same Christmas spirit that you have. I tend to get really lazy when it gets cold outside...there is less natural daylight and Vitamin D...so I just want to curl up on the sofa and read or watch television. Going out at night is a huge undertaking because I'm so comfortable at home! I will try and get more inspired by reading these forums! Thanks bro :D

I am the Social Media Director and Administrator for Scott Herman Fitness. Well put William! After 6 days a week for 2 years I've also come to know that gym time really is "Me Time". As soon as I walk through that door all the troubles in life just melt away and I can focus on just one thing, myself. I focus on becoming stronger, faster, and leaner and it gets me so pumped up and full of energy! Especially when I do my heavy cardio, the blood starts flowing and the heart rate rises. During cardio training, I usually reflect on the day’s events and whatever troubles I might have, and it feels like I have a clearer mind to figure out the solution to my problems. By the time I leave the gym, I'm so happy and feeling good that I feel like any problem I had going in, really isn't as bad as i originally thought. Training really is just a huge part of my lifestyle. It helps me focus on myself and my goals, which in turn help me figure out everything else in life.

2 year #SHF athlete I love to train hard and help others when they want it.

That feeling is amazing. It's like all the problems isn't really problems any more, it's more or less just easy conflicts. Glad you find fitness to be both a spiritual and physicall thing, that means we share the same point of view brotha :)
