Hello

I am only struggling in getting 450 grams (According to calculater here) of carbohydrates daily, I used to eat 100 grams of chickpeas daily (I like it so much) but it makes me swallowed, now I am eating 350 grams of multigrain none proceeded bread with 50 grams of chickpeas and rice, raisins and otameal trying my best to reach 450 grams of carbohydrates but I failed, I don't have sweet potatoes unfortunately.. I bought supplement ( 100% maltodextrina complex carbohydrates) to give me 100 grams of carbohydrates daily but I still need about 100 grams more.. yes it's strange I don't use whey protein only carbohydrates supplement

- Any nutrition suggestion ? Something I didn't realize?

yea same.

 

Ive been dieting for a year and a half now and I always come up short on my carbs. I usually end up filling it with fruits, (raisins and bananas especially!!) beans, rice or sugar filled cereal. I hear pasta is really good too! everyone also recommends oats but they pack a ton of fat with it. Yes I eat vegetables too but they're so low in calories it doesnt make that much of a difference.

 

Anybody else have any suggestions?

there was one time where I made a vegan minestrone soup and that had good carb macros in it without too much else because it had A LOT of veggies in it with quinoa (also a good carb source)

 

edit: maybe you could bump up your other macros? Im very new to dieting but what I do is eat more protien than I need because its delicious and it makes it a bit easier on myself.

@invulnerable888 How much protein and fat are you getting? If you're REALLY struggling to get more carbs, check if you can bump those up - mainly fat because that's probably easier calories (as long as you are already getting enough protein.

 

@invulnerable888 @Jday0952 If you guys are eating a cup of uncooked rice each day, that will be a lot of your carbs right there. You can always do regular potatoes as well, nothing wrong with that and oats are definitely a good option! Not too much fat at all and if you have to, just take out some of your other fat options to make room for the oats. Fruit is another fantastic choice - have some berries, an apple, a banana, kiwis, pineapple, apricots etc. That will help to boost your carbs too!

 

I did eat a lot of pasta in the past myself which helped me to make sure I got enough carbs.
