Maintaing proper form is a staple in my training regimen day in and day out, and so should it be for all of you. For one, if you allow your ego to take over your mind and start lifting extreme amounts of weight the only thing you will gain from that is an injury or a muscular mouth. You have nothing to prove to anyone but yourself. Leave your ego outside the gym. One of the biggest reasons why a lot of people train for years and never see any results is the fact that they use improper form all the time. Training with proper form decreases your chances of being injured tremendously and is the quickest way to muscle growth. So, remember to leave your ego outside and to always use an amount of weight that you can control. Its all about getting a great contraction on the muscle, not throwing weight around. If you take heed to this advice you will notice an increase in muscle mass and be on your way to reaching the goals you've been trying to attain for so long.

Also if you need to cheat on your form the last 1-3 reps then use your leg momentum instead of back momentum. Simply bend your knees and up the weight with momentum, not taking stress off the muscle the stress is supposed to be on. But of course if possible maintain 100% clean form at all times.

Spot on man.  If they goal is to say work your biceps, but you are using momentum from your back to curl the bar... then your biceps will never grow!

Got to stick to proper form and leave EGO at the door!  Proud of you brotha! :)

Exactly, and it is all about the NEGATIVES!  There is where the REAL results are! #HTH

Yeah, INDEED ! The negative part of the reps are the part where the muscles scream reason being of course becuase thats when they are really working  and tearing the muscle fibers !

I agree, but knowing how to cheat correctly and when to cheat in an advanced bodybuilding method. I believe in using a little momentum on the last couple reps and long as one is working a slow negative.

Well said Nathan!

During my 1st day in the gym... I watch the videos of Scott many times.. it really help me a lot for my muscle growth... and it's all worth it. I can really see the BIG CHANGES for myself.

Yes... we need to increase weight for muscle growth.. but the weight that we can lift or control!! .It is usless to lift heavy weight without doing the proper form. Much better to lift light weight with proper form ,will surely hit the target muscle. Most people try to lift heavy because they compete with others. Don't compete with others, train with your own level.

The most important things to consider for muscle growth are:

1. The food we eat.( eat according to your goal )

2. combination of training ( Never forget the TEMPO, time under pressure, and rest that support muscle growth )

3. Rest ( 8 hours a day)

You'll get everything you wish for... just focus and work on it. And you'll get more than you could ever have imagined. Who knows where life will take you. The road is long, and in the end - - the journey is the destination.
