Hi

Please see below 2 clips of me deadlifting from yesterday Saturday 12th September 2015.

My main issues are I lose tightness at the bottom, i thinking of improving quad and core strength and starting to do deficit deadlifts to improve at the bottom part of the lift.

You will snap your back doing that. Your back is way to rounded and you are using two movements instead of one solid clean movement. You should lower the weight and focus on better form. First you need to tighten your lower back more, make sure that your back is perfectly lined with your neck muscles during the lift. Which brings me to the next point, you are moving your head completely wrong. You need to let the neck muscles be in line with the spine, you are looking forward and keeping your head pressed upwards which not only draws a lot of energy but it can snap your neck. Next up is the two movement problem, you are supposed to move your back, neck, arms and legs at the same time, which you are not doing. You are first moving your legs then you move your back, this puts a lot of preassure on your back and will in the end lead to an injury. So to break it down:

1) You need to tighten your lower back and make sure it is tight during the entire lift

2) You need to keep your head and neck muscles aligned with your spine

3) You need to do one solid clean movements, not two seperate movements, because this can lead to an injury

Best way to fix all of this is simply to lower the weight significantly and focus on getting better at form and technique.

Videos have been removed and I cannot see.

I have been training coming up on 6 years and have made some great gainz. I've done a lot of trial and error on myself as well as learned from others and through research online. I've come along way in strength and size since I've started. I will continue to learn and make myself better each day.
