Hey all,

With Scott's latest workout focussing on strict exercise and rest timing I thought I'd canvas opinions on what's the best out there.

I only have a small garage gym but am getting tired of moving from the equipment to my phone and changing between the music and timer. I'd toyed with the idea of an Apple Watch as it would be nice to have the info right there on your wrist. I decided against it as I don't really need a new watch.

I like the idea of a large wall LED timer and have two main contenders.

Jordan Fitness digital interval timer

Rogue Echo timer

Pros:

visible around the room

remote to activate and stop wherever I am

beeps

works as a clock

can program different workouts

Cons:

£££ ($$$ for you guys in USA)

Anyone got any opinions or experience with these two? They're definitely overpriced for what they do but I want something to last and look good -not an egg timer :)

Also hey Scott. Which one are you using in your Iron Paradise?

Cheers guys. Keep up the good work

Andy

My advice would be to download an app on your phone called "tabata timer" you can customize the work/rest intervals to your liking and even add pauses in there to allow you to set up equipment before the next timer starts. It's a great app and I've been using it for a couple of months now and can't believe I didn't discover it sooner! Give it a try before buying something big like that wall timer.
