Auto breathing?

When doing abs 1, I seem to be exhaling without control

Hello there, I wanted to know if others experience the same thing, whether or not it's normal.

When I'm doing the ... Lumberjack excercises in Abs 1 (the first excersie)

Every time I twist my upper body I am exhaling regardless if I want to or not. I make a noise ... I thought it's all in my head but then I got my wife to listen and she can hear it too. Basically air is forced out of my lungs and it's throws my breathing out if order.

The only way I can do this excersie is by exhaling when I twist to each side and inhaling in the middle which makes the movment weird...

I wanted to know if anyone experienced the same thing.

I also get it when I'm doing the 4th excersie (sitting on the floor and twisting my body keeping my heals off the ground)

But not as pronounced...

Is it normal?

@MurexHyena By lumberjack exercises, I'm guessing you mean the woodchoppers? Haha.

What you're doing is normal. If you look at me in the video, I'm doing the exact same thing. I do my "tssssst" sound everytime I twist. It's not that I'm losing the tension in my core though, I'm still keeping that super tight and actually breathing out that little bit of air each time can help you make your core even tighter while you're doing it. But overall the amount of air you'll be releasing will be minimal.

And the same ges for the Russian twist, if you're just making the "tssssst" sound like I am, you aren't going to need to reset your breath, it's fine and normal to be letting that little bit of air escape!
