Hi all,

I was recently diagnosed with Piriformis Syndrome after having suffered symptoms such as sharp pains and numbness in my right upper thigh (near the buttocks). I was told to do a few stretches that specifically targets and loosens the piriformis muscles, and they worked to an extent. I can certainly feel my leg muscles being more loose than before. However, I noticed something odd when I tried to Bench Press using a barbell the other day. This was my second time performing the exercise, but I am fairly certain I got the form right. When i was pushing the barbell upwards, i felt a sharp pull on the right side of my buttocks, near the joint. It only happened twice, and I was fine after that. I am wondering if this is something anyone has encountered before 🤔 

If this is something abnormal, I might have to ask a physiotherapist if this is indeed related to my problem.
