The MERCY 30s CHALLENGE is a testimate to your will power to reach your goals!

 

To enter this contest is very simple.

 

RULES:

  1. You must be a human being (not a zombie)
  2. You must live somewhere on planet Earth (no aliens)

 

HOW TO ENTER:

  1. Record a video of yourself completing the MERCY 30s CHALLENGE! (COMPLETE TWO SETS - 60 TOTAL REPS)
  2. Upload your video to YOUTUBE.
  3. Post your video in a COMMENT BELOW and insert the link to your YOUTUBE VIDEO by clicking on the PLAY BUTTON in the editor (see below).
  4. Once your video is inserted, leave a comment describing your experience with the MERCY 30s!

HOW TO WIN:

The winner will be chosen by ME. I am looking for someone whom, despite their fitness level (beginner or advanced), pushes it to the absolute limit!

 

I don't care how much weight you lift in your video. 100 pounds or 10 pounds, it doesn't matter. What matters is you do FULL RANGE OF MOTION and you push through the burning hell in your biceps!

 

The winner will be chosen on Sunday October 25th, 2015 and will be announced in next weeks NATTYLIFE video.

In before everybody else !!!

 

Alright here we go..

 

The recording is not the best, it was a dark corner in the gym with light behind and my phone slipped down from its placement on my backpack. And my former flue still requires me to wear a scarf to avoid getting a cold neck.

On top of that youtube somewhat squished the format as well.. but it took 2 hours to upload and i am not going to wait for that again, especially since the time here is running out to participate !

IT IS WHAT IT IS !

 

 

Weights used:

 

Olympic Bar / european Female / 15 kg =~35 lbs

Weights attached: 2 x 5 Kilo plates + barbell = ~56 lbs

Weights attached (drop version) 2x 2,5 kilo plates + barbell = ~ 45 lbs

Weights attached (lowest drop version) no plates attached - only barbell = ~ 35 lbs

 

 

Since i only weigh only about 130 lbs moving close to 60 lbs up and down makes my body move along a little bit.

But hopefully it's visible that i neither bend my hips nor knees to get any moment going here here, and fully extend and contract arms for full range of motion.

 

Oh right.. about the experience.. i was careful with the amount of weight i chose, due to supersetting it to 30 full reps. And as you can see i worked with dropsets. and at some point even stripped the weights off the barbell completely. I couldn't touch anything for 5 minutes afterwards, and its about 2 AM in the morning/night now and my biceps are sore! Had a great pump. It might look relatively easy, but when you look closely you can see me squish and struggle mostly through the last 2 reps of each of the 10reps. I even had to drop within to finish the 5'th 10x because I really could feel my biceps fatiguing.
I think it's a great workout to power though, and the changing positions actually allow to go as far as 30 reps in one set and yet still make it quite challenging.


And now everybody else go away D: I really want to win >.< I'd really love to get a gene test !! *big puppy eyes*

Old enough to know better, young enough not to care. I'm an eternal rookie - As soon as I stop learning I start dying.
