Over the past few years I have used the plyometric push ups for various chest workouts and I always feel like I gain that explosive edge that aids me to push more weight when it comes to the bench press. Aside of performing clap push-ups I also use a few benches as a raised platform for performing push-ups to get the blood flow to the chest muscles and warm up with quick muscular contractions. Both variations equally have their place. So what are your thoughts? has anyone practiced these push up variations and seen improvements in their bench technique?

FYI I'm a few years younger in this video haha 😂💪🏻

I've tried doing explosive clap push ups before but they were at the end of my chest workouts. Thought I could do it but I didn't have the energy to clap anymore.

Hey man I used to do the same and then find I had no energy in the tank by the drawing stages of my workout. Performing at the start during a warm up I feel has helped me execute my bench press routines and maximise my gains.
