Hi Scott - I have my basic macros down but it is confusing once I throw weight training in.  My macros are 40% prot, 30% carb and 30% fat and I try to balance them for my meals - I eat 5x per day but I have read/heard conflict information what I should eat before, what I should have during and then post workout.  My goal is weightloss.

What I am doing right now is a pre-workout 5 min before, BCAAs during the workout and a scoop of whey with dextrose(read it helps absorption of creatine) and creatine (need guidance on how much) after.  On leg/squat/deadlift days I have 12oz choc milk (12oz non-fat with 38g hershey syrup) after instead of the protein drink.

Also, what do you do when your workout time is pushed to the middle of the day, say two hours after your last meal and your workout will go into the next meal ... skip the protein shake and eat whole food?

I know if I dug further in the posts I might be able to answer some but it is hard enough with these changes (working, meal prep, eatting) and trying to find a rhythm.

Thanks,

Noral
