I personally don't train on an empty stomach. I don't like it.

@Beast13 you can do this routine 3-4 times a week. Have you checked out my other TOTAL BODY routines in the "routines" section of the site?

Also, for your meal plan, have you seen this video?

@scott. I actually prefer training on an empty stomach. It is interesting how so much of training is not a "this is better or that is better" thing, but a personal preference thing...similar to meal frequency.

Hope this isn't too far "off-subject", but I also read that for actual "fat burning" purposes it's better to do these types of "intense" routines in the afternoon hours, as the body is (apparently) more prepared to burn-off calories at that time than shortly after waking from a long sleeping period.

This was a scientific study, and it has something to do with the body's Circadian Rhythms (internal clock).

This looks very challenging! Looking forward to trying it.

Scott, when you're doing these types of routines how are u tracking your calories. Or do u count calories at all or just monitor your macros for the day to get the desired grams? I'm curious to know your daily routine.

So true man. I know a lot of people who like to train on an empty stomach as well. Definitely personal preference. Not for me though! lol

There is some truth to that @Harley1962, but more likely because you have more energy around that time to push yourself harder to burn more. At the end of the day not everyone can exercise when their body is at its optimal level. As long as you focus on the right types of training/eating, you will be ok!

Why does this make you nervous?

IF you are not going to count your calories I wouldn't recommend doing training twice a day. There is no way of knowing if you are eating enough calories to be able to hand that if you refuse to count them brotha.

Okay so i read ur meal plan and understand what ur eating. Are u eating in a surplus? How much? Because I am struggling finding my sweet spot as far as maint cal. I am eating +350 cal surplus but not gaining much weight. Also, with eating 2500 cal a day I am struggling meeting that mark because to me that's a lot of food. I see ur only around 24xx cal daily. I've learned everything nutrion from u and know I'm doing things correct and eating very clean. I've recently had to change the types of foods to take in more calories which means a higher fat content. I've gained 1.5 lbs the last month. To me that's not much for muscle growth...

Said all that to ask this. On ur intense cardio days what are u consuming, if anything, to meet ur daily intake?

This has been a chess match trying to fine tune and pen point everything to the T. I don't half ass anything in life. If I can't do it correctly then it's a prob. I'm not one of those guys that has a "it's good enough" attitude. So that's why it's important for me to learn everything I can.

Hey @ABrowning on my cardio days I am boosting my carbs just by a little bit. Maybe 50 grams MAX... but I am only doing 25 minutes of HIIT cardio.

I know I answered this on my board too. It just takes time to build muscle naturally. Are you sure you are doing enough volume in your workouts? 25-30 working sets TOTAL per body part? Maybe it's time to increase the intensity some more?

Always happy to help Allen!

Okay. Yes u have answered my questions on ur board. I'm not sure how to calculate the volume in my workouts simply because is mostly all full body compound exercises along with some isolated muscle sets. It's a program @Whisper wrote up for a beginner. Ive been on it now for a couple months now and have progressed with most of the routine. I think I'm just being impatient...

Kick ass!!!
