So in your new video log series Scott, I see that you've made the huge transition to 6AM workouts. I'm thinking about making the switch myself but I have a few questions.

Have you figured out how to get to bed ( and actually fall asleep) It seems like a huge frustration to figure out.

And more importantly, what do you do for food first thing in the morning? Specifically, carbs. Load up the night before or get something quick in the morning.

Obviously, if anybody else has some good ideas I'm all ears.

I'm 27, I'm male, I'm trying to maintain a healthy but nice physique. I weigh about 195, 6'0 I've got four large passions in my life! Sports! My Lord and Savior! P.E.! And last but not least..... My wife! HTH! I have other goals, just ask if you want to know! My handle is Big Boss, but you can just call me Allan. Finally, always remember, HTH!

I workout at 5am everyday. There isn't really much research to show a difference in fasted workouts compared to non but you really aren't going to eat a meal right before you train. I take BCAA's some say it prevents using your muscle for fuel in a fasted state and some say no but I like it to help with the energy. I also take a little preworkout. After I train I take my Whey just because I know my body is starving for nutrition and it is at least another hour before I can get to work and eat.

I have been training coming up on 6 years and have made some great gainz. I've done a lot of trial and error on myself as well as learned from others and through research online. I've come along way in strength and size since I've started. I will continue to learn and make myself better each day. I'm the same as Aaron. I use BSN EndoRush as my pre-workout and I also sip on BCAAs while training. Aside from that, I actually go low carb the night before and I only have a protein bar and one or two pieces of fruit before training. Then I carb up after training. If you feel like you need more carbs before you hit the gym, just make a smoothie the night before so you can get up, grab it and go - plus it will digest a lot easier than having whole food.

I'm still working on getting to sleep when I actually get to bed early haha. If I come up with something that works REALLY well, I will let you know @bigboss!

Thanks fellas. Aaron, might I ask what your bedtime is and even if you have any basic tips for falling asleep (not going to bed) eariler.

It sounds like just getting a small bite in before is the way to go.
