I'd like to suggest maybe implementing a "thread bumb" to all the sections, meaning, when a new post is made in a thread that's say a week old, it automatically bumps it to the top of the list so that it's easier to see the latest post without having to scroll thru everything. That way if someone decides to post in a thread that's over a month old, like I have, it won't stay at the bottom and be forgotten about rather than creating a new thread and cluttering up the forum with so many new threads. This may be easier to keep track of and keep from having the same things discussed over and over. Also might be more efficiant for members to help each other out. For me as a beginner I like to read as much as I can thru the threads to see what's the best information I can apply to my lifestyle. Not every newbie that comes in here does that or wants to take the time. I also like to read the most updated posts in my favorite threads to see what's the latest. I don't know. Just a thought.

I think that's a great idea. I have also spent a lot of time browsing the forums since I joined a few weeks ago. There is a huge amount of really useful information (a credit to the site and its members..) but it can take a lot of time to absorb it all. Also it seems a too easy to just create another thread when there may be existing ones dealing with the same subject!

Apart from your suggestion, it might work to simply reverse the prder of the posts so that the newest one appears at the top? That way you get taken to the newest poast as soon as you click on the thread.

Right that's how it would basically work. Whenever a thread is updated with a new post then it will "bump" it to the top so u know it's been active with out having to scroll thru and read how many hrs or days it's been since the last post.

What you are suggesting is 100% reasonable and it probably will be added as a feature in the future. But we have something better coming soon. You will not have to scroll through the forums to salvage information. You will be able to find all the information you want in an upcoming section of the site which will be a fitness encyclopedia of some sorts. It will contain all the big topics like muscle gain, fat loss, injuries etc etc. And it will also include hundreds of smaller questions that are frequently asked. So you will be able to go through that data base with a search engine, I imagine. As Scott likes to say..as always, more good stuff coming soon :)

Oh awesome!!! I was actually thinking that same thing but wasn't sure how to explain it. I think that would benefit the SHF community in a HUGE way! Great news
