Hey Alex,
I’ve been following you for a while on YouTube, and we’ve had a few interactions. Though most were when I was posting anon. Anyway, I’m having a surgery at the beginning of July, and will be out of the gym for a few weeks to recover, and I was planning on reprogramming while I was recovering. Last August I tore a labrum pretty severely, and didn’t get back into the gym till the end of January. Since then I’ve been running PPL to get my body back in shape, but I think I’ve pretty much run that as far as I can. So I need to change some things up, and get some new stimuli to shock my system. I have quite a bit of admiration for you, you’re freakishly strong for your size. And, you look pretty good since the cut. Obviously your system works. So, am I at the point where your system would work for me…also considering my limitations?
All the following weights are what I've done for reps this week (3x12). Squats 395lbs, deadlift 355/385lbs (conventional 2”deficit/sumo), OHP 135lb, Dumbbell bench (no more barbell after the labrum tear) 95/90lbs (flat/incline), dips with 55lbs. No pull-ups because my elbows are jacked, but I do a few different pull-downs at or above body weight to compensate. I’ve been taking it easy on deadlift due to my fused vertebrae in my back, and arthritis in my hips. I think I’ve built my strength up enough to where I can start going heavy again. In that past I’ve got up to 585lbs on deadlift with no problems. I’m well over 600lbs on rack pulls if that’s any help. Thanks for your feedback, and keep doing what you’re doing. Loved seeing you shut some of that haters up with your bench press PR.
