Hi would i be able to reach the standards (225 bench etc..) on a cut with low volume? and if it is possible once i reach these numbers would my 1st bulk considered to be bulking as an intermediate instead as a novice  assuming that i keep getting stronger in the main lifts?

@faijaii That's a tough question to answer. Could you reach a 225lbs bench on a cut? Yes, probably, because you can train for strength while cutting but it could take a while depending on where your bench press is at currently.

If you're a novice / newbie now, I'd suggest you bulk right now and make the most of your newbie gains (in terms of size AND strength). What's your current body fat percentage?

@faijaii You're probably right haha. Maybe try to cut down to around 15% ideally, but at least below 20% before going into a bulk. I'd say a good target would be 15% - 18% body fat. Then you'll still have time to utilize your newbie gains to build muscle and ideally lose some fat at the same time from there!
