heya! I am about to start the PPL program tomorrow , I am looking forward to making gains. I have been working out for over 3 years with minimal gains and I am ready for some real progress.

problem (or obstacle) I work outside in the Florida heat usually about 10 hours a day, so in order to get my workout in I have to be at the gym at 5 am before work. I have a very strenuous job as well. When I wake up, what should I eat before and after I workout because it’s so early I don’t have time to prep a whole lot.  Any food or drink suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I work out early as well and tend to have somethng arround 300-500 calories that's mostly carbs, like a peanut butter sandwhich etc. It seems to work for me as I really hate feeling low blood sugar durring workouts. I've only been lifting for about one year consisantly and 3 year at all so y'know, your milage may vary.

Good advice and thanks! It’s not easy for us early risers. I sometimes even just chug down a protein shake but get really hungry. I’ll make some PB&J! Thanks

@Kris_Krop When I was training early in the morning, I would actually just have a protein bar and an apple, or even just train fasted. If you want something more filling, then something like a peanut butter sandwich might be a good option, or just making a shake with oats, peanut butter, fruit, protein - that would be a decent amount of calories to start the day!
